Claud Cunningham, founder of Manchester queer club Black Angel, is cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise funds that will be donated to the Parkinson’s Disease Society (PDS). Lesbilicious is proud to be a sponsor of Claud’s journey.

Claud lost her father to Parkinson’s Disease which is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. This cycle is Claud’s tribute to her father who was a body builder and ran marathons before Parkinson’s Disease took away his athletic abilities.

Producers of the L Word are set to create a reality TV show called The Real L Word: Los Angeles.

After rejecting Ilene Chaiken’s idea for an L Word spin-off, Showtime have approved nine episodes of the reality show. The show will follow the lives of six lesbians in Los Angeles.

“Even though we concluded our sixth season of ‘The L Word’ on Showtime this past March, I believe we are not nearly finished telling our ‘L Word’ stories,” Chaiken has said. “Showtime has yet again come forward to continue with us this mission to entertain and enlighten and bring more ‘L’ to the world.”

It is expected that The Real L Word: Los Angeles could air in the US at some point in 2010.

The launch of LGBTory took place at Manchester Pride this year.

LGBTory is the official Conservative Party affiliated LGB group. Members of the group marched in the parade at Manchester Pride, showcasing the rainbow version of the party logo.

Matthew Sephton, chairman of the group, told Pink News: “We were flying the flag for the modern Conservatives and for the LGBT community and had lots of attention from the many thousands of people who lined the parade route through the city.”

A gay event will be held at the party’s annual conference next month, also in Manchester. The guests at the event are reported to include shadow equalities minister Theresa May, shadow environment secretary Nick Herbert and chief executive of Stonewall Ben Summerskill.

Conference Pride will take place on Tuesday 6th October at Spirit Bar in Manchester’s gay village.
